This Timex rolled off the assembly line when The Clash, Th Who and Fleetwood Mac were shaping music in 1979. Apocalypse Now was in the theater and someone could have worn this to the opening night. What a journey it has had to get to my bench and now it has a new life. This one turned out great, please take a look at the photos to judge for yourself.
There may be some normal wear for its age on the case, crystal, bracelet and crown, but I think it turned out very clean. Some plating wear on the top of the bezel and back of the case that has a warm tone showing from under the chrome plate. There are some regular scratches and wear that have come with time. I worked my best to get these out of that case and crystal without taking away too much from it. Please see photos, nothing is hidden. Time tracks well and day/date function. Vintage quickset method functions as well.

If you are an enthusiast that owns a timegrapher, please note that these Timex watches use metal pallet pins, not jewels. That means if you put this on your device, you may get varied results. These are vintage well worn timepieces and will never be as accurate as a quartz or luxury modern timepiece.
These old Timex automatic movements were based on manual wind movements which they added a rotor too in later years. Because of that, you can hear the rotor against the case back sometimes. I have worked on a lot of these and it is a very common thing and honestly has been in all of them. This does not affect the watch function at all, just a part of a being a 50 or more year old Timex.
I am a small one-person operation that restores, repairs and replaces to make sure you are getting the best for your money. All watches are sold as is. Vintage watches are not waterproof. Watches will stand up to regular use. They should not be submerged in water, worn bathing, showering or swimming. There may be signs of age, normal wear or patina.
