Autographed letter signed, on Sir Edmund Hillary's personal Himalayan stationary. It is 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" and is in overalll very good to fine condition with a few stray minor creases and folds for mailing. This is a folksy letter with Sir Edmund talking about Tenzing's children as well as Hillary's own son. The letter reads: "I certainly do know all of Tenzing Norgay's children very well. In particular I am close friends with his oldest son who lives in San Francisco--Norbu Tenzing Sherpa--who is a very able and intelligent young man. "A younger son climbed Everest this year [1996]--following in the footsteps of his father. As a matter of interest my son Peter climbed Everest in 1990 and is a very experienced climber. Kindest regards, E.P. Hillary"
