Small Wedgwood Jasperware plate, 7 X 5” oval, floral, matte blue, raised white For Sale

Wedgwood was never intended for food. Its porous matte blue background and distinctive raised, white (cream colored, ivory) decorative elements makes it ideal for display or for holding dry, wrapped items. (Business cards, packets of tea, earrings, coins). This little plate (small oval platter) is 6 15/16” long and 5 3/8” wide. It has a garland at each end and flowers in the center. The mark on the underside is incised with the Wedgwood name and line, ‘Made in England.” It weighs 7 oz. There’s a subtle swirl in the blue area nearing the edge, providing a scalloped feel.
