Original vintage Sony Walkman TPS-L2 retail box with its original molded polystyrene inner packaging and an extensive collection of original Sony paperwork and promotional inserts.
This is an exceptionally well-preserved packaging set for the iconic TPS-L2 Walkman. The Walkman itself and headphones are NOT included in this listing. This listing is for the original box, inner packaging, manuals, warranty documents, promotional material, and other paper inserts shown in the photographs.
The set has been preserved for decades and represents an excellent opportunity for a collector who already owns a TPS-L2 and wants to complete or improve a boxed example, or for display as an original piece of early Sony Walkman history.
Condition & Detailed Photos
Considering its age, the original box is in excellent overall preserved condition.
The exterior cardboard box shows normal signs of age and storage, including some minor edge wear, very small creases/hairline cracks, and other light cosmetic imperfections. These are clearly visible in the high-resolution photographs and video included with the listing.
The original molded polystyrene inner packaging is present and remains in very good condition, with some minor age-related marks/discoloration visible in specific areas.
The paper contents stored inside the box are exceptionally well preserved. The operating manual, warranty documents, promotional brochures, mail-in materials, and other inserts remain clean and intact with very little apparent wear considering their age.
