Beautiful antique Spode blue dipped stoneware potpourri basket with its original pierced cover. This early 19th-century English piece features applied white grapevine sprig decoration, a molded overhead handle with blue accents, and a stepped pedestal foot. The domed lid has ventilation holes and a floral finial, while the interior is finished in a creamy white glaze typical of early Spode stoneware.
The impressed Spode mark is present on the underside. A wonderful example of early English jasper-style stoneware that displays beautifully and would make an excellent addition to any Spode or English pottery collection.
