This is the last book written by Stan Brakhage. These hardcover volumes were signed and numbered before Stan passed away about 2003.
There were 100 copies of the hardback and this is No. 99 there were also 26 copies that were lettered. This volume is extremely rare and is in mint condition with a protective cover as the dust jacket.
Stan was a good friend of mine and I met him when I was the Executive Director for Canyon Cinema here in San Francisco. Canyon Cinema is one of the world reknowned distribution of experimental and visionary film. I had the great fortune to visit Stan in Victoria, Canada shorty before his death. Although I hate to part with this volume, covid has put me in financial difficulties and I must downsize much of my collection.
There are no missing pages in the volume, no markings. The price is high due to its rarity.
