Each \'Custom\' humbucker uses Alnico 3 magnets for a warm, sweet tone that accurately delivers the sonic characteristics of those highly cherished early humbuckers. The underwound neck registers around 7.4K, 4.5H and the bridge at 8.0K, 5.0H. Theseare made to the exact same specs as the original PAFs, including Alnico 3 magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, wound with 42AWG plain enamel copper wire, unbalanced coils that are left unpotted to produce a historicallycorrect PAF tone and vintage-style 14\" long two-conductor braided wiring.
