With its three delicious layers of raspberry jelly, truffle and marzipan, covered in dark chocolate, Troika is the ultimate indulgent chocolate.
Ever since Norwegians first tasted this chocolate confection, the way to eat Troika has been a very special experience for many, and dedicated Troika eaters often have their own eating rituals. Some prefer to divide the chocolate into small pieces and eat one piece at a time. Others prefer to eat the chocolate coating first, then the rest of the chocolate – layer by layer.A third favorite is to save the jelly for last.
The Story Behind TroikaTroika has had an affair with the Norwegian people ever since the chocolate first saw the light of day in 1939. At the time, the chocolate was called Geletröffel, named after two of its three layers.
Many years later, Mr Tore Bakke was hired as sales manager at Nidar. He thought that Troika was so special that it deserved a more exotic name. At the time, several of Nidar\'s other candies had exotic names, playing on other countries and continents. Therefore, it was natural for Mr Bakke to choose a name from another culture. He landed on the R ussian word Troika, which means \"three\" or \"wooden crate\", and the chocolate was thus named after its three tempting layers.We ship fast by air mail almost worldwide. Please note that no tracking number is availablefor shipped orders, all are sent by unregistered airmail letter. I have shipped 21,000+ caviar tubes and other food items to 30+ different countries and only experienced a couple of problems with shipments to Brazil, Israel, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.

Ever since I started sellingon in 2012, I have offered \"free shipping\" on all myitems/sales. The reason I have been able to offer this is that I have usedolder stamps as franking and I have great access to this and have been able tokeep costs down.

From January 1, 2026,unfortunately new rules came from the US and all shipments to the US must nowbe registered online, US customs fees must be prepaid by the seller (me), andshipping must be paid with a credit card. Postage stamps are now only allowedon normal letters and postcards without any value, and part of the customshandling fee. From 1st January, I was unfortunately forced to chargefull shipping, (which is very expensive from Norway) to all my Americancustomers. To all other countries in the world, I can still frank with stampsand still offer free shipping. 80% of all orders that come in from aresent to the USA so needless to say this is disastrous for my business, butunfortunately nothing I can do anything about, and I must start concentratingon selling to other countries. As an example, I can send a 2-kilo package ofgoods to a customer in Canada, Japan, or Australia with free shipping (frankedwith older stamps), while an American customer must pay over US$25 for the samepackage. I really regret this, both for you and me. I am in the US a lot bothon vacation and for work, (my main job is for an American company based inMiami), and I think the US is a wonderful country, but the new tariff rules areof course not to my liking.
