Arthur Winnington-Ingram served as Bishop of London from 1901 to 1939 and was one of the best-known preachers of the Edwardian Church of England. This volume gathers 13 of his sermons around a single theme, stated in his preface: \"Goodness is the one thing worth having in the world, and Holiness far and away the most beautiful.\" The sermons are:
