The Watchful Lantern is an original, hand-carved and hand-printed linocut featuring a vintage lantern in deep navy ink on warm cream paper. Bold carved lines and textured details give the image a rustic, timeworn feel, while the lantern suggests a welcoming light in the darkness.To make this relief print, I carved the design into a linoleum block, applied ink, and pressed the image onto paper by hand.
