Thermo Scientific Rheometer HAAKE Viscotester iQ Typ 262-0050, Viscosity, Rheology.
Currently not powering up. Will need repair and updating. I suspect (but do not know for sure) a capacitor issue.
Includes only what is shown in pictures, except that 24v power supply is included.
No measuring geometry included.
This is the adjustable lab stand model. No base clamps.
Originally sold for US $21,000. Comparable models now sell for upwards of $30,000.
Thermo Scientific Haake Viscotester iQ
Rheometer Viscometer
Lab Stand Version 262-0050.
Quick connect Measuring Geometry
HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer instrument head with lab stand (262-0050 standard content of delivery) (left); HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer. For use with immersion tube for absolute measurements using coaxial cylinder measuring geometry and holder with temperature sensor (right).
The powerful Thermo Scientific TM HAAKE TM Viscotester TM iQ instrument head with integrated electronics enables advanced rheological measurements in controlled deformation (CR/CD)- or controlled shear (CS)-mode in rotation as well as oscillation. Due to its wide range of accessories, it gives maximum flexibility with respect to individual setups. The HAAKE Viscotester iQ instrument head is also available in a special version for use with a lab stand. In this version the Viscotester iQ the instrument head comes with a robust holder mounted to the rear of the instrument head. The special lab stand for instrument head consists of a rugged base plate, a rod and the height adjustable end stop for the vertical position of the instrument head holder along the rod. The end stop as well as the instrument head holder can slide along the rod and can be fixed in any position using a knurled knob fixing screw. The base plate has four height adjustable support feet for leveling the instrument, and it is equipped with three removable clamp blocks for clamping a sample container with a diameter between 55 mm and 190 mm. This concept is an alternative to the universal container holder [1], which is limited to a maximum container diameter of 11 cm. Thanks to the open and flexible design, large sample containers can be fixed onto the base plate of the rheometer stand to avoid any movement during testing. This allows for the insertion of a (vane) measuring geometry into the sample without compromising its structure. Vane rotors with different diameters and shapes are available. In addition different universal adapter shafts can be used to adapt any individually designed measuring geometry. The HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer is a compact and relatively light instrument and can easily be moved from one lab bench to another. For moving the instrument over longer distances a special, trolley-like, transport case is available, which is specifically designed for the HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer with lab stand (with divisible rod) including certain accessories. The HAAKE Viscotester iQ instrument head with lab stand in combination with a vane rotor is the configuration of choice for relative measurements on highly filled samples, Product information P051 HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer instrument head with lab stand (262-0050 standard content of delivery) (left); HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer with temperature sensor (right). Cornelia Küchenmeister-Lehrheuer, Klaus Oldörp and Jint Nijman Thermo Fisher Scientific, Material Characterization, Karlsruhe, Germany for inhomogeneous samples with large particles or for measurements in large original sample containers, e.g., for mineral slurries, mortars or construction materials. For absolute measurements in an original sample container an immersion tube with a coaxial cylinder measuring geometry can be used. Using the Thermo ScientificTM HAAKETM RheoWinTM rheometer software, fully automatic measuring and evaluation routines (jobs), including quality check criteria, can be created and run for fast quality control assessments, e.g., yield point determination. The HAAKE Viscotester iQ rheometer offers the choice to run such kind of standardized measuring and evaluation routines using either internal procedures without PC or the HAAKE RheoWin software.
