OVERVIEW

The Mickey Thompson Street Comp is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire promotes great summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the summer compound work together to increase the dry and wet weather grip on the road surface. The tread elements manage to boost the number of biting edges gripping the road surface in dry conditions, while the compound actively prevents heat build-up along the tread area. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the footprint. This allows the tire to enhance the summer weather performing capability and driving safety.

The ideal tread design upgrades the controllability. The tread\'s two solid continuous center ribs maintain the tire\'s surface contact throughout its performance. This allows the tire to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering, as a result, is faster and more precise in its response, while the structural stability is guaranteed during its performance. The shoulder tread block placement provides additional biting edges that grip the road surface during cornering. The angled lateral grooves create friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking.
