FDC«Trident. Honor»
«This postal issue features works by the artist OleksiyKustovsky (Kusto), who offers a new symbolic interpretation of the Ukrainiancoat of arms. In the artist’s interpretation, the Trident appears not only as asymbol of state authority, but also as a sign of inner strength, determinationand readiness to fight.
The stamp depicts the Tryzub in the blue and yellowcolours of the Ukrainian flag combined with a pixel camouflage pattern. At thebase of the emblem, the artist subtly incorporates the gesture of the Ukrainianmilitary salute — a hand placed over the heart. This is how Ukrainian servicemembers render honours, greet one another, stand during the National Anthem, offer farewell to fallen comrades, and receive state awards. This gesture givesthe issue its title — \"Tryzub. Honour\" — linking the national emblemwith the values of service, dignity, and loyalty to Ukraine.
The sheet\'s coupon features lines from IvanKotliarevskyi\'s Eneida: \"Where love of homeland inspires heroes, theenemy\'s strength cannot prevail...\" Written more than two centuries ago, these words remain strikingly relevant today, linking Ukraine\'s culturalheritage with its ongoing struggle for freedom and independence».
