Vintage 1979 Mattel Flash Gordon Inflatable Rocket Ship — No. 1535, with Original Box
A genuine piece of Flash Gordon history — this is Mattel's inflatable Rocket Ship tie-in toy from the 1979 animated series, over 2.5 feet long when inflated. The rocket doubles as a "modular space shuttle" — the orange cockpit section detaches and rolls separately, built to carry two 4" figures (figures not included).

• Inflatable vinyl rocket ship body (Flash Gordon graphics throughout)
• Detachable orange modular space shuttle with clear canopy and Flash Gordon decals/stickers already applied
• 3x orange rocket motor/nozzle cones
• Wheel & axle assembly with felt pad
• Original printed instruction sheet
• Original Mattel box (No. 1535, 1979)
Condition — Please Read:
• The inflatable body holds air, but there is a small leak at the back seam where the vinyl seams come together — looks like a glue/seal separation rather than a puncture, and seems like it would be an easy fix for anyone handy with vinyl repair or a patch kit
• Original box shows significant wear: torn/taped corners, creasing, and edge damage (see photos)
• Instruction sheet is worn, stained, and has some small tears/holes
• Shuttle piece and rocket motor accessories appear undamaged
• Appears complete based on photos — not verified piece-by-piece against original parts list
Sold AS-IS given the seam leak and box condition. This is a genuinely hard-to-find piece for Flash Gordon collectors — sealed/unused examples have sold for $500+, so even with these flaws it's a solid find for the right buyer.
