100% authentic, original 1989–1990 Santa Monica Airlines (SMA) Natas Kaupas "Evil Cat" skateboard deck. This is a true survivor-grade board from the golden era of street skating, packed with era-authentic details. It has not been cleaned, restored, or altered.
Production & Authenticity Highlights:
* Original Graphics: Features the iconic black cat/yellow triangle graphic on an orange-stained wood veneer background. The graphic retention is excellent for a ridden board, with minimal slide wear obscuring the main art.
* Hidden Factory Markings: Under the front truck placement, the raw wood plies feature the original hand-scrawled factory production marking: "BULL 1973". Written before screen-printing at the NHS facility, this is a definitive marker of an original late-80s pressing (referencing the 1973 founding year of NHS/Santa Cruz) and completely rules out a modern reissue.
* Period-Correct Character: Comes with a yellow plastic edge rail mounted on one side. The tail features a period-correct, authentic 1990-era Mobil Oil "Protect and Enjoy Your Environment" bumper sticker that has weathered the years right alongside the board. The top side features a period-accurate custom-cut wavy griptape job and an original vintage Bridgebolt sticker.
Condition Report:
* Graphic/Veneer: Colors remain vibrant with expected light scratches, minor scraping on the graphic, and surface wear consistent with standard street use. No structural delamination across the main body.
* Nose/Tail: The tail shows standard tail-wear scraping. The nose features a significant, notable structural chip where a portion of the top ply has sheared away (please see closeup photos for exact condition).
* Modifications: Drilled for traditional truck patterns of the era. No modern touch-ups or wood filler have been applied; sold exactly as found to preserve historical integrity.
