Here for sale is a vintage mid-century cityscape painting of Benefit Street in Providence,Rhode Island by Alba carrado, who was involved with RISD, a major art school for 30 years. The painting depicts a cityscape view of Benefit street painted in 1958. The painting is in good condition, with exceptions to a crease from years of sitting in a stretcher at the bottom just above the signature. The crease goes across the painting. Also, there is a minimal tear on the upper left side where the canvas meets the frame. Please review all photos. The painting is an historic impression of Benefit street in the 1950s, and presents itself well on any wall. Please ask questions before purchasing. The painting is shipped in a 5 X 28 X 30 inch box including insurance. The painting is available for local pickup. Alba Corrado is a sculptor and lettering artist working in Providence. She received a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1960 and an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1971. Corrado was a Senior Critic at RISD for over 30 years. Her commissioned work includes calligraphy for certificates, citations, and diplomas and raised letter bronze plaques recognizing important donors for RISD and Brown University
