Wonderful vintage mohair monkey/chimpanzee, approximately 10.5\" tall in his natural seated position. Features two-tone mohair-type plush, felt face, ears, hands and feet, glass-type eyes, white beard and what appears to be excelsior/wood-wool stuffing. Beautiful condition for its age with excellent fur coverage and remarkably well-preserved felt features. No maker\'s tag or button is present. Construction and appearance are consistent with mid-century German mohair toys, including examples produced by Hermann, but maker is unknown and no attribution is guaranteed. Only wear and tear is the fading and fraying original bow. He is a beauty! Please see photographs for condition.
