RARE Find!!
This is a vintage Navaho Indian sterling silver book mark adorned with turquoise.
It’s stamped “E. Y. Sterling”. This piece is attributed to the famous Yazzie family of artisans. This piece is either by Elsie or Elaine Yazzie - unfortunately, I’m not able to narrow it down specifically. It’s very rare as both artists are known mostly for jewelry so their bookmarks are extremely rare.
Condition- I have not cleaned it so it shows heavy tarnish and darkening!!! There is a bit of a wave/ bend - very slight but I like to disclose everything. Please review photos for details and feel free to ask questions as my sales are final!
