Vintage 1974 Vincent Bach Stradivarius Model 37 Bb Trumpet – Silver – Early Elkhart
Beautiful vintage Vincent Bach Stradivarius Model 37 Bb trumpet, serial number 100534, dating to approximately 1974. Made in Elkhart, Indiana, this is a very well-preserved example from the earlier years of Elkhart Bach production.
The trumpet is in exceptional cosmetic condition for its age. The silver plating is near perfect overall and retains a beautiful, bright finish with remarkably little wear for an instrument that is more than 50 years old. Please examine the photos closely, as they are a good representation of its outstanding condition.
There are two very small dings on the bell section that are difficult to capture in photographs. They are minor, but I want to mention them for complete transparency. Otherwise, I see very little cosmetically to detract from the instrument.
This is the classic Model 37 / ML (medium-large) bore configuration, one of Bach’s most enduring and versatile trumpet designs. The bell is clearly engraved Stradivarius Model 37 / Vincent Bach / Elkhart, Ind. U.S.A., and the valve casing is stamped ML 100534.
Mechanically, the trumpet is in excellent working condition. All three valves move freely and smoothly, and all slides move freely. The removable components are shown in the photos so buyers can get a good look at the overall condition of the instrument.
Also included is the original Bach case with the original key, making this an especially nice, complete vintage example.
Considering its age, originality, and exceptionally well-preserved silver finish, this would make a wonderful instrument for a player looking for a vintage Elkhart Bach 37 or a collector looking for a particularly clean example.
