Vintage 1940s/50s black velvet opera coat.
This piece is a swing style with long sleeves that can be rolled up to expose the satin pink diamond quilted interior. This piece feels very soft and more lightweight- which makes me believe it is a silk or rayon blend velvet.
This one has a backside tear at the collar (see photos). It also has several small brown spots on the inside lining. The lining itself is not immaculate and structured, it is more plush.
This one has a single hook and eye delicate closure at the neck, but the eye is missing (metal or thread) and will need repair.
