Vintage 1943 religious print depicting St. Joseph working as a carpenter with the child Jesus watching at his workbench.
The print is clearly marked at the lower right:
“Copyright 1943, Extension, Chicago”
Both St. Joseph and the child Jesus are depicted with halos, with Joseph carving a small wooden animal at his workbench surrounded by traditional woodworking tools.
The piece remains in its vintage green and gold-tone frame. The back retains an old dealer/framing label from:
