Authentic 1944 Western Union Telegram sent from Caracas via All America to Denver, Colorado, dated December 25th. This historical piece of ephemera features a Christmas message from Ralph Hansen to Mrs. Ralph Hansen, noting the difficulty of obtaining a telephone line during the holiday. The telegram includes the original windowed envelope with a Denver postmark and a Victory-themed postage stamp. A fascinating look into WWII-era communication and social history, complete with original stamps and handwritten delivery notations.
Condition Description: Significant tearing and jagged edges on the top of the envelope. The telegram itself has standard fold lines, minor creasing, and age-related yellowing/toning. Hand-written notations and stamps are present.
