Vintage Jolly Products “The Dice” Electronic Random Dice – Original Box – WORKING
A fascinating and uncommon vintage electronic dice game/novelty by Jolly Products, Incorporated, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
The original packaging describes it as “totally electronic” and “completely random”, and states that it can be used for backgammon, board games and craps.
TESTED & WORKING
Tested with a fresh 9V battery and confirmed operational.
The two gold-plated contacts on the top are used to activate the dice:
* Touch the two contacts to activate the unit
* Remove your finger to generate a random dice result from 1–6
* Touch again for another random result
* This allows the unit to effectively function as two dice / successive dice rolls
* The red LED pips illuminate clearly as shown in the photographs
The automatic shut-off function is also described on the original packaging as occurring after approximately 90 seconds without being touched.

Condition
The electronic unit is in working condition, although it has considerable cosmetic wear consistent with its age.
There are numerous scratches, scuffs and marks to the glossy burgundy/red finish, particularly on the top surface. The gold contact buttons also show some age/wear.
The original box is quite worn, with substantial edge, corner and surface wear, creasing and deterioration, but remains intact and is a very nice addition to this unusual item.
The bottom felt also shows age and wear.
