Vintage AIWA AD-1250 solid-state stereo cassette deck, made in Japan.
A very clean example with minimal cosmetic wear. The original lift-up cover is in amazing condition, and the face, controls and cabinet all present extremely well.
The unit powers on, the meter lights illuminate, and the meters respond. The cassette lid and eject mechanism work, and the control buttons engage. When Play is pressed, the deck attempts to operate and the meters move, but the tape does not play. Fast-forward and rewind are also not working.
I am not an electronics technician and have not opened the unit or attempted any repairs. It is being sold as is for repair or parts. No guarantee is made regarding what work may be required.
