Rich chocolate brown, warm gold and a beautifully flowing bracelet give this vintage Candino Elite its distinctive presence. Dating to circa the 1970s, it captures the era’s taste for sculptural dress watches—pieces designed as much for their visual character as their timekeeping.
The brown dial is its centrepiece: a geometric gold minute track frames the hands, surrounded by paired dot markers and three sparkling stone-set accents at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. A framed date window at 3 completes the composition, while the elegant “Elite” signature adds a delicate finishing touch.
Founded in 1947 by Adolf Flury-Hug in Herbetswil, Switzerland, Candino built its reputation on Swiss-made watches combining dependable watchmaking with accessible quality. This Elite expresses the decorative side of that heritage through its shaped case, richly coloured dial and integrated-style bracelet.
The approximately 32 × 38 mm gold-plated case combines broad brushed surfaces with bright bevelled edges, flowing into a finely ribbed gold-tone bracelet. Its proportions offer a refined vintage fit without sacrificing presence.
Swiss-made and powered by an automatic movement, the watch works well for a vintage timepiece. It is supplied with the pictured Candino presentation box.
Good pre-owned vintage condition, with surface scratches, areas of plating wear and age-related marks visible on the case and bracelet, together with subtle dial ageing. The box also shows handling and storage wear. Please examine the photographs for the details of this individual example.
A characterful Swiss dress watch whose appeal lies in the complete composition: chocolate dial, sculpted gold-tone case and flowing bracelet.
