Beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain fish bowl planter or cachepot, richly decorated in the Famille Rose tradition with colorful figural scenes, birds, butterflies, flowers, foliage and architectural details.The exterior features multiple detailed scenes in a vibrant palette of pink, coral, turquoise, green, pale blue, black and iron red. Much of the polychrome overglaze enamel decoration is raised and dimensional to the touch, particularly throughout the floral, figural and decorative elements, giving the piece wonderful texture and visual depth.The interior is also fully decorated rather than left plain, featuring charming iron-red/orange goldfish swimming among aquatic plants and small floral motifs. Delicate floral sprays continue around the broad upper rim.The underside bears a six-character red Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi (大清光緒年製) mark, meaning “Made during the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing.”Measurements: This design is hard to come by in this size!

Very good vintage pre-owned condition. There are no chips or cracks to note. Age-appropriate surface and base wear consistent with previous use and display.Green protective felt pads are present on the underside.Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up images showing the raised enamel decoration, figural scenes, birds and butterflies, decorated interior, underside and Guangxu mark, as the photographs form an important part of the condition description.The porcelain planter/cachepot is the only item included; surrounding decorative accessories are not included.I use recycled packing materials whenever possible, and this substantial porcelain piece will be carefully packaged for shipment.
