The set features a stunning covered teapot and two matching handled teacups. The decoration is traditionally arranged in alternating panels, beautifully contrasting classical Chinese indoor courtly scenes with colorful nature panels filled with butterflies, birds, and blooming pink peonies. Bright green and pink overglaze enamels dominate the design, accented by fine gold-gilt paint on the rims and accents.
The bottom of the teapot features a red, square four-character apocryphal Qianlong Emperor seal mark ("乾隆年制"), a traditional mark of reverence commonly utilized on mid-to-late 20th-century vintage production wares.
