Up for sale is an authentic, highly collectible vintage pair of Electro-Voice Model SP8B 8-inch \"Radax\" full-range / coaxial loudspeaker drivers with heavy cast brown frames.
Manufactured by Electro-Voice, Inc. in Buchanan, Michigan, USA. Features matching vintage factory maroon/silver foil badges with serial numbers 29630 and 22938. Built with heavy cast aluminum frames, massive enclosed Alnico V motor structures, Radax mechanical high-frequency whizzer cones, and knurled binding post terminals.

- Voice Coil Testing: Both voice coil circuits have been tested with an analog multimeter and test continuous and intact!
- Cone & Surround Damage (Sold for Recone / Repair):
- Speaker #1: Whizzer cone and dust cap intact; outer main cone has a puncture hole and separation along the perimeter edge (see close-up photos).
- Speaker #2: Cone has severe radial cracking, rips, and deterioration surrounding the voice coil / whizzer section, with surround separation. Needs a recone kit.
- Cosmetics: Cast metal baskets and magnet pots are structurally solid with authentic vintage paint wear, light scuffs, and patina. Sold strictly AS-IS for reconing, restoration, or parts.
