This was my Nana’s. She had the machine, which we gave, years ago to her neighbor in another state. I’ve had this for years in a box and now’s the time for someone who has a machine and can get use out of it to adore, appreciate and put to use!!!
There are over 40 pieces that you’ll receive, this includes the box and insert pieces.

The original, excellent condition box and tray/container
The original warranty card with serial number printed on it!!! (I am sure no longer valid, the warranty , but especially the postage on the postcard)
I am pretty sure that if these items were purchased individually, this wonderful treasure would be, at the minimum a $450.00+ cost. I believe I’ve priced this treasure at a great value, but please do send me your offer.
I did some research and found the model of her machine by the serial number that is printed/handwritten on her warranty card in this ‘kit’, and I’ve cut and pasted it below.:
“Serial number 1234660 indicates your machine is an Elna Supermatic (also known as the Elna 2), manufactured around 1954 or 1955. The Supermatic was a legendary Swiss-made machine renowned for being the first portable freearm sewing machine to feature an automatic zig-zag stitch and reverse feed.Decoding Your ElnaFor vintage Elna models produced prior to 1963, the first digit of the serial number generally represents the last digit of the manufacturing year.Serial Number: 1234660First Digit: 1 (indicating the 1950s)Because serial numbers that started with 0 or 1 during this era can be ambiguous, Elna also stamped a specific year and month code inside the machine. You can find the exact manufacture date by swinging up the round access plate located on the back or side of the machine's column/arm to check the casting stamps.Locating Your Exact ModelWhile the serial number provides a production timeline, the specific Model or Type Number dictates the machine's exact variant (e.g., Elna Supermatic, Transforma, or Zig Zag)”.
Everything in the fabulous vintage box looks as though my Nana never or gently used any of the items.
