hand carved in the ivory coast in the early 1900s. one is broken on the bottom, but I have a piece that came off. I think there is still a piece missing, but nobody notices.
the one with the crocodile on the bottom represents the elements of water, earth (man), and sky (bird eating snake).
my research says these go for 80-150 each, but I didn\'t pay that much for them. I won\'t lie, I\'ve never cleaned them, and I was going to before I posted them, but I think someone will be glad they can make the colors pop again. they are really beautiful hanging on the wall.
