Vintage Hardy Bros Ltd \"The Altex\" No.2 Mark IllI fixed spool spinning reel, made in Alnwick, England.
Early Hardy Altex with full bail arm, folding handie and four-arm spool adjuster. Old line included. Good used vintage condition with expected surface wear, marks and finish loss. Mechanism appears to operate correctly, although I have not dismantled or extensively tested it.
Comes with the period J.W. Young & Sons \"Distinctive Reels\" box shown. Please note this is not the original/matching box for the Hardy reel.
Box has considerable age-related wear. Check photographs for condition and markings. International postage available.
