Vintage Harkerware Blue Mist 8.5\" Vegetable Serving Bowl Speckled MCM USA For Sale

Classic mid-century Harkerware Blue Mist stone china serving bowl featuring a glossy turquoise/robin’s-egg blue interior with fine dark speckling, a contrasting gray exterior, and gray rim.

The Blue Mist pattern is a discontinued Harker pattern, and this form is cataloged as the approximately 8⅝-inch round vegetable bowl.

Measurements: Approximately 8½–8⅝ inches across. Please see measurement photographs for additional dimensions.

The underside is impressed “USA.” Unlike many examples of Harkerware Blue Mist, this particular bowl does not carry the complete Harkerware backstamp. Identification is based on the distinctive Blue Mist glaze combination, form, dimensions, and comparison with documented examples.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. There is a small glazed-over manufacturing/firing irregularity along the underside foot rim. The area is beneath the glaze and appears to be original to manufacture rather than later damage. It is shown clearly in the close-up photographs.

A great replacement or serving piece for a Harkerware Blue Mist collection and a handsome example of mid-century American dinnerware.
