Interesting old American-made hand tool from an estate.
Marked Chicago U.S.A. and appears to be an early Imperial Brass Manufacturing Co. tubing cutter. These tools were commonly used by plumbers, HVAC/refrigeration technicians and mechanics for cutting metal tubing.
This is a substantial older metal tool with an adjustable screw mechanism, cutting wheel and curved body.
Condition:
Vintage used condition with considerable age-related wear, oxidation, discoloration, scratches and loss of the original finish. I have not cleaned, polished, restored or tested it by actually cutting tubing. The adjustment mechanism and components are present as shown.
