A set of four miniature INU – HARIKO miniature figurines or charms. These were traditionally used as protective folk art symbols for safe childbirth, and good fortune.
They are modeled as stylized white dogs with black ear markings, orange, or red collars, and blue and red floral or pattern blankets.
The material apparently that these are made out of is called NERIMONO. (this is a traditional Japanese sawdust and starch composite paste.)
Per Google lens, the age would be from the SHOWA era between the 1950s and the 1970s.
The smallest one is missing its front legs, please see photos. It is this open area that Google wins, determined the material used to make it. I cannot confirm that the rest of them are made of the same material although I think it is likely.

I tried in the beginning to save costs and ship via First Class Mail with stamps on some things but too many people 'claimed' to have never received the item and insisted on a refund of the full amount paid. A few bad apples spoil it for all...).

Most items are from Estate finds from relatives. Our 'retirement' job is to diminish some of the things in our home of 50 years (before the kids rent a dumpster !). Many generations before us have contributed to our collection and it's time to thin out what we have. That being said, these treasures are too good to throw away and likely not without value so we list them in hopes that someone else has a love for them and will provide a new home.
