Charming vintage Lefton salt and pepper shaker set featuring a pair of whimsical green anthropomorphic birds dressed for Christmas. Each bird has an expressive hand-painted face, red shoes, and a festive holly-and-berry headdress accented with a gold bow. Their raised tails and wonderfully quirky styling give them loads of mid-century holiday personality.
One shaker retains its original foil label reading “Lefton – Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. – Exclusives Japan.” Both original bottom stoppers are included.
A delightful addition to a vintage Christmas collection, Lefton collection, holiday table, or retro kitchen display.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-related crazing, scattered paint loss and rubbing, particularly on the red shoes, holly decorations, gold bows, and hand-painted details. There are also some small surface marks and areas of discoloration consistent with age and use. Please review all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
