Authentic mid-century folding footstool/ottoman, stamped "Made in Yugoslavia." It has a woven Danish paper-cord seat on a solid wood X-frame, in the Hans Wegner style. This is the companion piece to the classic Yugoslavian folding rope lounge chair, and the ottoman is harder to find than the chair. It folds flat for storage.
The cord weave is tight and sturdy. One cord on the underside is knotted/repaired and can't be seen in use. The frame is solid, with age-appropriate scuffs and finish wear. It works as a footrest, accent seat, or plant stand.
