Vintage Paragon groovy lion crewel embroidery worked in colorful yarn on natural burlap/jute.Fantastic retro lion design featuring bright purple, pink, orange, turquoise, white and green yarn with a floral border and curled tail. A great example of late 1960s/1970s needlework and fiber art with a strong Mid-Century, boho and psychedelic look.Approximately 15–16” round as currently constructed.CONDITION: This is being sold AS-IS for restoration, framing, display or collection. The embroidered lion itself remains colorful and displays very well. However, the burlap/jute foundation has significant age-related deterioration, fraying, splitting and open areas around portions of the outer edge.
