Ventriculin With Iron pharmaceutical bottle, dating approximately to the late 1930s–1940s.Original clear glass 100-gram bottle with its Parke-Davis paper label and distinctive aluminum measuring cap. The bottle also retains a substantial amount of its original brown granular contents.Ventriculin was an antianemic pharmaceutical preparation derived from gastric tissue. Ventriculin With Iron was marketed by Parke, Davis & Co. for treatment of certain anemias during this period.Label identifies the contents as “Ventriculin With Iron” and gives dosage information.
