Vintage Parker “51” fountain pen, believed to date from approximately 1948–1950. Features a dark burgundy/brown plastic barrel, hooded nib, and finely lined gold-filled cap with Parker arrow clip and decorative top jewel.
The cap is marked “PARKER” and “1/8 14K GOLD FILLED — MADE IN USA.” The gold-filled marking applies to the cap. Nib appears fine, but its size and metal content have not been verified.
Preowned condition with visible scratches and surface wear on the barrel and cap. There is noticeable discoloration around the cap’s lower rim, with possible wear to the gold-filled surface.
The outer cap removes normally, but the plastic barrel could not be unscrewed to inspect the filling mechanism. No force was used. Filling and writing functions are untested, and servicing or repair may be required. Sold as an untested vintage pen for restoration or collection.
