This fashioned entirely by hand item is a Pre-Columbian Tairona Gold Frog Pendant/Brooch replica, cast in brass and plated in 24K Gold, using the lost wax process, often popularized by renowned Colombian brands such as Cano Jewelry. In ancient Colombian indigenous cultures like the Tairona and Muisca, frogs and amphibians were highly revered symbols. They represented fertility, water, and the essential connection between the earth and the spiritual world. Original versions of these intricate artifacts were crafted using the lost-wax casting technique and can be admired at the famous Gold Museum (Museo del Oro).
