Up for sale is a classic vintage S-K Tools 1/4" drive socket set bundle housed in an original S-K Chicago, IL green metal toolbox. This set features the legendary S-K 40975 fine-tooth knurled handle ratchet along with the highly collectible S-K 40954 translucent green spinner handle.Please note that this is an estate-found, piece-by-piece mechanics' assortment. While it uses the original S-K case and core drive components, the socket slots have been filled over the years with a mixed variety of vintage American-made sockets (including S-K, vintage Craftsman, and other period-correct manufacturers) to cover both metric and fractional (SAE) sizes up to 14mm and 9/16".Condition:Pre-owned vintage condition with excellent character. The green metal storage box shows a heavy, authentic garage rust patina on the exterior lid but the original internal branding sticker is fully intact and legible. The black plastic interior organizer tray has some typical dust/debris from storage but is completely structurally sound without cracks. The S-K 40975 ratchet is fully functional, clicking tightly in both directions. Sockets show normal cosmetic wear, light surface oxidation, and scratches consistent with active field use.
