Vintage stamp collection housed in an album with a cover labeled “The American Album for United States Stamps.”
Includes a variety of U.S. stamps, primarily from the 1920s through the 1960s, with used and apparently unused examples, commemoratives, regular postage issues, airmail stamps, plate blocks, and postal stationery cut squares. Subjects include presidents, statehood anniversaries, military history, World’s Fair, birds, and more.
The photos show 36 blocks of four, totaling 144 stamps in blocks, in addition to the individual stamps and cut squares.
This album is partially filled and is not a complete collection. Approximately the first half contains stamps, with varying coverage and empty spaces throughout. The back half contains no mounted stamps. Printed stamp illustrations in unfilled spaces are part of the album pages and are not actual stamps.
Condition varies. Many stamps have postal cancellations, and one Franklin block has pen markings. Blocks are stored in aged glassine envelopes attached to the pages with tape. Gum condition and hinge status have not been verified; uncanceled stamps are not guaranteed to be mint never hinged.
The album shows considerable age and wear, including cover scuffs, fraying along the spine and corners, yellowed pages, staining, and worn page edges.
Please review all photos carefully for contents and condition. You will receive the album and collection pictured.
