So this is a very unique piece it does work as it should you pull the handle back and find the groove in the rod and push in the locking switch.
I like this one because it has a flat edge to put against the surface and once you push the button you know what happens next.
I did try it not on myself on a piece of plastic corrugated like cardboard and it did work fine
So if you need this for draws it will definitely do what you needed to do. Or if you like to collect it this one is a very good example of German made tools
