Original Chicago band World Tour 1986-87 t-shirt featuring an oversized version of the iconic Chicago script logo in teal/mint green with a copper outline on the front and “World Tour 86-87” on the back in matching colors. The 1986-87 World Tour supported Chicago 18, the band’s follow-up to the massively successful Chicago 17. Chicago 18 produced the Top 5 hit “Will You Still Love Me?” and a re-recorded live version of “25 or 6 to 4” that introduced the song to an entirely new generation. This was the peak of Chicago’s 1980s commercial era — the David Foster-produced run that transformed the band from jazz-rock innovators into pop-rock hitmakers and kept them at the top of the charts for a full decade.
The ® registered trademark symbol printed alongside the Chicago logo confirms this is officially licensed merchandise. Printed on a Hanes blank — one of the most recognized names in American t-shirt manufacturing, and a Tier 2 collector tag. The blue banner Hanes tag with 46-48 chest sizing and “Made in U.S.A.” is consistent with mid-1980s production. The teal and copper color palette on black is a striking combination that photographs well and stands out from the more common white and red Chicago tour shirts.
