Original oil on canvas landscape titled "Afternoon Reflections," painted in April 1989 at Smith Ranch in San Rafael, California. Signed by the artist in red at lower right. Back is hand inscribed "April 1989, Afternoon Reflections, Smith Ranch, San Rafael" and bears the artist's address stamp (Edmond D. Mauberret, Mill Valley, CA). Bright plein-air style scene of rolling green Marin hills, eucalyptus trees, a fence line, rock outcrop and a reflecting pond. Artist Edmond D. Mauberret (1921-2004) of Mill Valley was a Marin County Sheriff's Department detective and sketch artist who painted Marin and Sonoma landscapes. Comes in a black wood frame with an aluminum hanger on the back.
Measurements: Frame 39 x 26.5 inches. Canvas 35.5 x 23.5 inches.
Condition: Small specks on the paint visible up close. Frame has scuffs and chips (see photos).
