Vintage Delft Blue Hand Painted Lidded Covered Bowl - Floral Bonboniere - Made in Holland
Beautiful vintage Delfts Blauw covered bowl / bonboniere in classic blue and white. This low, round squat form with domed lid and ball finial was sold as a candy dish, trinket box, bonboniere, or small covered serving bowl / tureen. Not ovenware - decorative serving use.
All-over hand-painted floral design with large blue blossoms, scrollwork, and dotted accents on both base and lid. Lovely glossy glaze. White interior.
Perfect for cottage, grandmillennial, blue & white decor. Would make a beautiful catch-all, candy dish, or lidded serving piece.
Markings: Hand-written on base: "Vs. 15 89 DELFTS BLAUW HANDPAINTED MADE IN HOLLAND" with painter's mark. See photo.
