XL Manzanita Wood Full Tree Cleaned & Sanded Home / Aquarium / Reptile Decor
My Manzanita is collected by hand in the northern mountains of Arizona. With my USFS permit in hand, I go out with my favorite chain saw and collect these beautiful amazing sticks.
Years of wind, poor soil, drought and sun twist the branches into beautiful, unique shapes and colors. The wood on the forest floor is a fire hazard, burning very hot, so we are also helping to prevent forest fires!
After collecting only naturally fallen wood, called dead and down, I sandblast each piece to reveal the smooth character hidden beneath years of weathering.
The result is a natural, hard wood sculpture that works equally well as home decor or as a centerpiece in aquariums and terrariums.
No two pieces are ever the same. What you see in the photos is the exact piece you will receive.

I only collect from weathered limbs, never living branches. Each piece is sandblasted to remove the outer skin and gently hand-sanded to highlight its natural beauty and colors. NO chemicals, sealers, or paints are used: this raw Manzanita wood is perfect as is and ideal for home, aquarium and terrarium decor.
Please Note: Before placing this piece within live creatures’ habitats, we highly recommend first soaking the wood in tap water for a day or two.
