We install a new battery in every quartz watch and do a full quality control before it ships. While it is very rare, if the watch fails final Q/C for any reason and we do not have a second one in stock, we may offer the buyer a substitute (with their permission only) and if all else fails, we will promptly refund the full price at once.
Please note that the three month warranty is from us. It is informal. After issuing an R/A, we agree to repair any defect reported within 3-months and delivered to us within 15 days after R/A is issued. Buyer pays return shipping and we pay shipping to send it back. (For out of the USA, we would charge shipping back to international destination for warranty repair).
