Yamaha MX-600 Natural Sound Stereo Power Amplifier — powerful, fully serviced, and extensively tested.This amplifier was recovered after having been stored for an extended period and has received a complete professional-level electronic repair and servicing. It is now operating properly and has been extensively tested rather than simply repaired and immediately offered for sale.After the repair was completed, the MX-600 was played regularly for several weeks under normal operating conditions with no problems. The amplifier was then checked again after that extended run-in period. Bias was rechecked and remains stable and within specification, and both channels continue to operate properly.The MX-600 is rated by Yamaha at 135 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 160 watts per channel into 6 ohms and 190 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It is a serious high-current Yamaha power amplifier with plenty of reserve power.Both channels are strong and clean, the front-panel level controls operate properly, A/B speaker switching works, and the large Dynamic Range Peak Power Meter display operates as it should. A video is included showing the amplifier playing and operating.Cosmetically, please look closely at the photos. The front presents well, particularly when operating, but the top and outer case show considerable scratches, scuffs and storage wear. I have photographed the top, sides and rear rather than trying to hide the cosmetic condition.
