The system features a large 7-inch-tall, 360-degree radial-flow Pro 5R air filter with a 4-inch flange. Its pre-oiled filter media consists of five progressively finer layers of cotton gauze, providing high airflow for performance-oriented street and track applications. The filter is washable and reusable for long-term service.
According to the supplied aFe specifications, this Magnum FORCE intake outflows the factory intake by 41%, with measured airflow of 685 CFM at 7 in. H2O. Dyno testing shows gains of up to 17 horsepower and 16 lb-ft of torque.
The open-element XLPE polymer housing helps minimize exposure to warm engine-compartment air while showcasing the air filter and producing an aggressive intake sound. A computer-designed, dyno-tuned XLPE intake tube provides a direct-fit connection while offering excellent heat-soak resistance and durability.
Installation uses the vehicle\'s factory mounting locations with no cutting or modification required. Stainless-steel clamps, flexible bellows coupling, mounting hardware, and the necessary fittings are included. ECU tuning is not required.
